For most cases, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) works well and is sufficient for most load balancing use cases. At times, you may need to implement custom logic at your load balancer layer to manipulate requests and responses. Our enhanced load balancing allows you to implement rewrites, redirects, caching, etc through an easy-to-use interface. Best of all, since it is managed by us, you know it will be highly reliable and performant.
Some of our customers have used our enhanced load balancing to:
- Rewrite requests before the application layer
- Route requests to different applications based on URI
- Add headers/cookies to responses
- Response caching (using memcached with nginx)
